Fried Potato Cakes

I have a toddler who doesn't want to eat veggies.. I was searching online what foods I can make him eat and I found this Potato Cake recipe. I altered it a bit and my boy ate it (to my surprise) with peanut butter. He was asking for ketchup but it was the end of the week and the supplies are running down.

Fried Potato Cake

2 small potatoes
Moringa oleifera (or you can use any green veggie)
cheese
1 egg
cornstarch

1. Boil the potatoes
2. Blend everything in a blender.
3. Get a spoonful and fry in oil.

The original recipe said you can also use other ingredients like ham, meat, and other vegetables like carrots. It's very easy!

Ok- I have spaghetti sauce but I don't have spaghetti noodles. I have macaroni but I don't have mayonnaise. Uh- the joys of living far away from the city.

So, I tried mixing them :) And I got it. It's creamy and cheesy. yum.

My ingredients:

250g cream
380g spaghetti sauce
hotdogs
cubed or grated cheese
ground beef/corned beef
minced onions
minced garlic
200g macaroni

1. Cook mac as per package instruction. Drain
2. Put 1 tbsp oil in a pan, saute onion, garlic and beef.
3. Put the spaghetti sauce, hotdogs and cream. Mix well.
4. Put half of the cheese
5. Put in the mac
6. Mix well
7. Put a pinch of salt
8. Pour in a large bowl. Garnish with cheese

Buko Pandan Gulaman With Pineapple

It's yummy and I can't get enough, seriously.

Actually this is just an accidental recipe. I just thought of making a plain one but it turned out that the brand I was using needs more water than the previous brand of gulaman I used. So, it ended very hard and I didn't like it. So I got some cream, cheese and milk and ta-da! It turned so delicious.

Ingredients:
1 gulaman, buko pandan flavor (cooked according to package's instruction)
1 cream (I used Nestle cream)
1/2 of the big can of condensed milk
cheese cut into cubes (as many as you like)
pineapple (as many as you like)

1.  After cooking the gulaman, let it cool. When it is cool enough, cut into small cubes.
2.  Pour all the ingredients inside a big bowl and mix. You can use as many cheese and pineapple as you want. I just used 1 small can of pineapple and I thought it would be better if I used more. :) You can also add some raisins if you want.

1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup brewed coffee
4 pieces eggs

Procedure:

1. Sift together all dry ingredients.
2. Add butter and mix it at low speed. Add oil until mixture looks like a sand.
3. Combine milk, vanilla, coffee and honey. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
4. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Batter will be very THIN.
5. Pour batter into prepared pan either a two 9” round pans or 3 8” round pans. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 35 minutes or until done.

Let me know if you also tried it :)

Decoupage Plastic Containers

My aunt has this plastic cabinet/containers containing all her undies and it's already old - the white is already dirty white, if you know what I mean. So I got some pretty papers and prepped it. Here's how it looks like before
Measure the length and width and cut the paper
Use your decoupage medium ( Mine is 1/2 part glue and 1/2 part water)

And here's the finished cabinet (it's still wet)
